Print From Zapier Automatically - Orders, Forms and Alerts on Paper
Add a Print Document step to any Zap and it prints on your own printer: order forms, bookings, tickets and alerts from 7,000+ apps, with no email in between.
Name a printer in the desktop app
On the computer that should print, open AutoPrintEmail, go to Manage Connections and add an API printer. Call it what your team calls it: Front desk, Kitchen, Receipt printer.
Create an API key
In your team dashboard, under Integrations, create a key named Zapier. Paste it when Zapier asks you to connect your AutoPrintEmail account. One key covers every computer in the team.
Add a Print Document step
In any Zap, add AutoPrintEmail as an action, pick Print Document, map the text or a PDF from the trigger, and choose the printer from the dropdown. Paper comes out within about 30 seconds of the Zap running.
Orders and order forms
A new order in Typeform, Jotform, Airtable, Squarespace or a POS app prints a ticket at the counter or in the kitchen.
Bookings and sign-ins
Calendly bookings, visitor sign-ins and appointment confirmations print at the front desk as they happen.
Alerts that must be seen
A failed payment, a low-stock warning or an urgent ticket on paper on the manager's desk, not lost in a channel.
You can. AutoPrintEmail started as an email printer and still is one. But a Zap that emails a PDF to a mailbox that prints it adds a mailbox, a spam filter and a few minutes of delay to every print. The Print Document step skips all of that: Zapier hands the job straight to the computer that prints.
- Pick the printer by name in Zapier, not by OS printer name. Swap the physical printer later without touching the Zap.
- Map a reference such as the order id and the same order never prints twice, even when Zapier retries.
- Add a Find Print Job step after a Delay to branch on printed or failed.
A key only prints on computers in the team that created it, and only to printers that team set up for the API. Revoke it from the dashboard and every Zap using it stops at once. Printing is a Team plan feature; see the API guide for the exact fields and limits.

Yes. Map a file field from the trigger (an invoice from your billing app, a label from your shipping app) into the PDF file field, or paste a public https link into PDF URL. Up to 10 MB.
Each computer sets up its own named printers in the desktop app. The Print to dropdown in Zapier lists them all, labelled with the computer they are on. With one printer in the team you can leave it empty.
The job waits. When the desktop app comes back online it prints the queued jobs, as long as that happens within 24 hours. After that the job is marked failed and a Find Print Job step can tell your Zap.
The text or file you map is sent by Zapier to AutoPrintEmail and from there to your computer. Nothing is stored beyond the job record needed to print it, and printed PDFs are removed after 7 days.
