Printer Settings: Paper Size, Copies, Double-Sided
Everything prints, but on the wrong paper, in colour, one copy when you wanted two. All of that lives in one place: the printer card for each mailbox.

Find the printer settings
- Open AutoPrintEmail and click Manage Connections in the sidebar.
- Click Manage on the mailbox.
- Open the Print tab. Under Printers you'll see a card for each printer this mailbox prints to.
Change what you need, then click Save Changes.

What each setting does
- Printer: which printer to use. Don't see yours? Click Refresh printers. It has to be installed on this computer first.
- Page size: match the paper in the tray, like A4 or Letter. Receipt printers have their own sizes under Thermal Receipt (receipt printer guide).
- Margins: the white border around the page.
- Email body scale: makes the email text bigger or smaller.
- PDF attachment scale: the same for PDF attachments. Lower it if the edges get cut off.
- Copies: how many of each email to print.
- Tray: a tray name or number, if your printer has more than one. Leave it empty to use the printer's default.
- Landscape orientation: prints the email body and images sideways. PDF attachments keep their own orientation.
- Print in black & white: saves colour ink.
- Double-sided printing: prints on both sides, if the printer can.
Print a test page
Click Print test page on the printer card. If that comes out right, real emails will too. If it doesn't, the problem is between this computer and the printer, not the email. Try printing anything else from the computer to confirm.
Print to two printers
Click Add printer to add a second card. Every email then prints on both, each with its own settings. Handy for a backup copy, or the same order in the kitchen and at the counter.
Want different emails on different printers instead? Use rules: see Print Each Email Alias to Its Own Printer.
Choosing what prints
The same Print tab decides which parts of each email print: Print message body, Print message header, Print attachments, Print PDFs and Print images. To print just the attachment, see Print Only the PDF Attachments.
